The Women for Africa Foundation Painting Africa Project continues to develop in Ahwiam. The cleaning will continue until Friday. On Wednesday we had the children's day. The performed a role play and attended a puppet show. The puppets told them stories about the importance of keeping the environment clean. On Friday will be the celebration day and this phase of the project will be closed.
Ahwiam is a beautiful coastal location one hour drive far away from Accra. It is a fishermen community, a pictoresque spot that will benefit from this evacuation and cleaning campaign.
We would like to thank the cooperation of Zoom Lion (the waste management company) and the commitment on the part of the local authorities.
Next Friday Ahwiam will be cleaner. The real challenge though is to keep it clean.
Let's keep Ahwiam clean.
